Bob Saget's official cause of death has been revealed - and it doesn't appear to be the heart attack or stroke some authorities initially suspected.
According to a statement from the Saget family, the Full House star died as a result of head trauma, an investigation concluded.
The statement said that Saget "accidentally hit the back of his head on something, thought nothing of it and went to sleep".
"No drugs or alcohol were involved," it added.
The comedian and actor was found unresponsive and lying on his bed with his right arm across his chest at an Orlando hotel room on January 9.
Speculation swirled over the reason for the 65-year-old's death and it was quickly noted that Saget had recently revealed he had recovered from COVID-19.
TMZ reports authorities still don't know what the star might have hit his head on but that there was an "obvious bruise" on the back of his head.
"Authorities believe Bob did not know the severity of the injury and got under the covers and went to sleep," the TMZ article reads.
"We're told he never woke up and died from a brain bleed."
The Saget family statement included a request for Saget's fans to "remember the love and laughter he brought to this world and the lessons he taught us all".
"To be kind to everyone, to let the people you love know you love them, and to face difficult times with hugs and laughter."
