Here's the full list of Cannes 2024 PR Lions jury members
CANNES, FRANCE: The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity has selected jurists for the 2024 PR Lions, including representatives from MSL, Porter Novelli, Hill & Knowlton and other firms.
Ten public relations leaders will judge this year’s PR Lions entries, and experts from 54 markets will judge entries for the festival at large.
Kat Thomas, One Green Bean’s founder and chief creative officer, is the PR Lions jury president for the 2024 edition of the festival. Thomas is succeeding Ketchum CEO of global markets Jo-ann Robertson, who chaired the PR Lions jury in 2023.
Other global jury members this year include Fenella Grey, Porter Novelli MD and chair of EMEA; Ian Black, CEO, of New Vegas in Brazil; DoorDash CMO Kofi Amoo-Gottfried; Lerato Songelwa, Hill & Knowlton MD of South Africa; Marie Claire Maalouf, Edelman chief creative officer for EMEA; Sama Al Naib, BCW MD of digital innovation for EMEA; Sebastian Stępak, MSL CEO for Central and Eastern Europe; Tomoko Tagami, Shiseido global chief corporate communication officer; and Vanessa Ho Nikolovski, Weber Shandwick chief client and growth officer for Asia-Pacific.
The international work will be judged, awarded and celebrated at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, which is set to take place June 17-21 in Cannes, France.
This year, the event’s organizers said in a statement that they are “refreshing” some criteria for the PR Lions to “accurately reflect the current PR industry.” The festival has introduced two categories: Luxury & Lifestyle Lions will recognise branded comms, solutions and creativity in the luxury sector, and a humor category will celebrate the art of humor in branded communications.
At the 2023 festival, independent Argentine firm GUT, won the Grand Prix in the PR Lions and was named Agency of the Year, Independent Agency of the Year and Independent Agency Network of the Year.
