Bucking a common misconception, New Zealanders no longer say recycling is the most effective action they can take to reduce climate pollution, reports Marc Daalder
Two new surveys of New Zealanders' own environmentally friendly behaviours suggest awareness about how to most effectively combat climate change is on the rise.
Last year, Newsroom reported on an Ipsos survey which quizzed respondents in New Zealand about which actions they could take to have the biggest impact in cutting greenhouse gas pollutions. The number one response was recycling, which actually has an almost negligible climate impact, although it is good for the broader environment.
