New Zealand’s Tyler Bindon has joined fellow All Whites Chris Wood and Marko Stamenic on the books of English Premier League club Nottingham Forest.

Bindon (20) has been signed on UK’s transfer deadline day from League One’s Reading, and immediately loaned back to the club till the end of the season.

Confirming the deal had gone through, Forest chief football officer Ross Wilson said: “We have been impressed during our tracking of Tyler’s progress at Reading, and we are pleased to secure his signature today.

“We will be closely following his development as he now returns to Reading for the remainder of this season.”

New Zealand captain Wood (33) recently signed a two-year extension to his contract with Forest.

Bindon has already made more than 70 appearances for Reading and, according to media reports, his progress has been tracked by English Premier League clubs Arsenal and Leicester City, and English Championship clubs, including Blackburn Rovers, Watford, Hull City and Coventry City.

His contract had less than six months to run and Reading were claimed to be under financial pressure to consider bids for Bindon and other form players before the transfer window closed on Tuesday February 4 (NZT).

In New Zealand, he’s a nominee for the 2025 Emerging Talent Halberg Award, and a leading contender for selection to the New Zealand team set to seek qualification to the 2026 FIFA Men’s World Cup.
