Virgin Australia has launched its exciting annual Boxing Day sale with flights to 33 idyllic destinations slashed to as little as $48 one-way - but would-be flyers will need to act fast.
The incredible discounts, which started at midnight on December 26, will only be available until 12am on December 28, unless sold out sooner.
'We are excited to launch one of Virgin Australia's biggest ever Boxing Day sales, with thousands of discounted seats available from as low as $48, for just 48 hours,' the airline said.

There is a whopping 35 per cent off fares to Australian icons like Alice Springs, Cairns, the Gold Coast and Melbourne with international isles like Denpasar and Nadi also on the agenda.
Among the cheapest deals are one-way flights from Sydney to Ballina or Sydney to Launceston in either direction for $49, while Melbourne to Hobart one-way is $48.

While there may still be some nerves on the travel front for passengers worried about Covid, Virgin is offering a Flexible Flying policy that gives customers the option to change their booking or cancel to travel credits, with no fees, for all domestic travel until April 30 and international travel to December 31, 2022.
