It's been almost 24 hours and we're still coming down from Zach Bryan chaotically announcing that he and Brianna Chickenfry have broken up—news which took her by complete surprise.

Quick recap: Zach announced the split on Instagram Stories, writing "Brianna and me have broken up with each other and I respect and love her with every ounce of my heart. She has loved me unconditionally for a very long time and for that I’ll always thank her."

The singer then revealed why they parted ways, saying "I have had an incredibly hard year personally and struggled through some pretty severe things. I thought it would be beneficial for both of us to go out different ways. I am not perfect and never will be."

Shortly after Zach's post, Brianna hopped on Instagram and informed everyone that she was totally blindsided. Direct quote: “Hey guys I’m feeling really blindsided right now. Gonna hop off social media for a while and attempt to heal privately, when I’m ready I’ll be back and ready to talk."

Turns out she was ready to talk sooner than expected because Brianna decided to film a YouTube on her bathroom floor (been there), revealing that she and Zach had broken up just one day before.

"I’ve been crying for, like, five days straight," the podcaster said. "I’m at the point where it’s, like, how can you give someone everything and love them so unconditionally through stuff that you shouldn’t."

"How can you give every ounce of yourself to someone and then be discarded of in a few days. It’s really, really heartbreaking and I don’t want to talk about details right now, I don't want to talk about it yet," she continued. "I wanted to heal privately and I didn’t even know that he was going to post that. We broke up yesterday, so I wasn’t ready to do anything publicly."

Brianna went on to say that she had "no idea" Zach would be posting on Instagram, that he didn't text or call to inform her, and that she's "really, really hurt right now."

"I wanted to just be hurt for a week and lay in bed," she explained. "I just didn’t want it to be public, so I’m just feeling blindsided."

Zach hasn't commented further on the split, and has instead been posting photos of random songs he's listening to on Spotify.
