Avowed: Best Early Accessories To Unlock As Soon As Possible

Players will find that Avowed has the typical roster of gear and weapons to equip. Players can create two loadouts for weapons in Avowed, and they come in melee and ranged forms like daggers, swords, pistols, bows, giant hammers, and more. There are various levels of armor for the body, legs, and arms, too.

Then there are accessories. Players equip two rings at a time, along with one necklace or trinket. Rings typically will only boost one stat or have a lasting effect instead of carrying the weight of many stats on armor. 8 Arcanist’s Ring

The Arcanist’s Ring is one of the simpler accessories to acquire in the game. Castol’s Folly is located to the east of Paradis, and there’s a small chest in that area with the ring inside. It will increase Intellect, which is the stat that controls elemental resistance and Essence when leveled up.

Essence in Avowed determines how many spells players can cast, similar to Mana in other RPGs. The Arcanist’s Ring, then, is a good accessory for players planning to use a lot of magic in the game or players dealing with mages who need protection from their many elemental spells.

7 Bitter Bonding (Ring)

The Bitter Bonding accessory is a ring, and it’s sort of tied to a side quest in Avowed, but it isn’t named. Shantytown is located south of Paradis, which is basically the slums of Dawnshore. By one of the grates in the mucky wastes below the bridges, there will be an NPC looking for a ring.

Players can find it a little ways behind this NPC and walk off if they choose or give it back to receive no immediate rewards. It’s a nice ring to keep, as it can restore a small percentage of HP from every attack.

6 Delver’s Caution (Ring)

• Quest: Dawntreader

The Delver’s Caution accessory is a ring tied to completing a side quest: Dawntreader. Once players wrap up their business in the Temple of Eothas and return to Paradis, they can get the ring from Caedmon.

It will improve Dexterity, which is the stat that controls attack and action speeds, and the ring itself will also boost parkour activities like climbing. Players can get a great sword in Avowed from this side quest, too, Last Light of Day, if they choose to fight Sargamis in the Temple of Eothas.

5 Enchanted Suolenet (Amulet)

• Quest: Lost Suoles

The Enchanted Suolenet accessory is an amulet that is tied to completing the Lost Suoles side quest in the game. All players have to do is raid a few seagull nests in Shantytown, so they may as well do it after acquiring the Butter Bonding ring in the same area.

This amulet can increase the amount of money gained in Avowed from dropped coins. Players can’t get discounts in shops or more reward money from side quests, but it’s still a nice accessory to equip when exploring the open region of Dawnshore.

4 The Fantastic Alembic (Trinket)

The Fantastic Alembic is a trinket-type accessory rewarded if players go a certain route during the Precious Light side quest. Avowed players will get an Adra shipment from Captain Trevik in Castol’s Folly. Players can decide to turn it in to the rightful owner, Captain Bardatto, or they can give it to Sapiento de Falva in Paradis, who will use it for the good of the city. Sapiento de Falva will give players the trinket, which will make potions heal status effects, too.

3 Rathun Figurine (Trinket)

• Location: Shantytown Shop

The Rathun Figurine is a trinket, and it will help mages who prefer using fire magic. Players should unlock the level one Wizard spell Fan of Flames as early as they can in Avowed. It’s an incredibly powerful spell that spews a large stream of fire at enemies.

Another fire-based spell is Fireball, which is less flashy but still powerful, locked away under Avowed’s level five Wizard spells. Players can buy this trinket in a shop in Shantytown.

2 Steel Garrote Medallion (Amulet)

Resolve +1

• Location: Ruinous Cavern

The Steel Garrote Medallion can increase the Resolve stat in the game, which raises stamina and gives players a chance at a second wind. The amulet can be found in the Ruinous Cavern, which is underneath Paradis to the west, outside of the city walls. Players have to defeat Nacib first, a giant spider and one of Avowed’s many bounty targets. There are quite a few things to loot from chests and corpses in this cave, so players should make sure to explore it well.

1 Vindictive Band (Ring)

• Quest: Cabin Fever

The Vindictive Band is a ring accessory tied to the first side quest in the game: Cabin Fever. All players have to do is clear out a cabin for an NPC, Dehengen, and then she will reward players with this ring at Claviger’s Landing. This ring will have a chance to add poison damage to attacks if they are critical hits. It might be a good idea to pair the Vindictive Band with a weapon in Avowed that improves critical hits, as poison damage can harm enemies over time.
