India’s head coach Gautam Gambhir supported team India after the 8-wicket loss against New Zealand in the 1st Test in Bengaluru. India was wrapped up for 46 runs in the first innings. Virat Kohli, Sarfaraz Khan, KL Rahul, Ravindra Jadeja, and Ravichandran Ashwin all got dismissed for a duck.
Gambhir was in support of India and gave the example of their dominating win against Bangladesh in Kanpur. He mentioned how India won over the visitors after 7 wickets even though they had lost 2 days due to rain.
“Cricket, sports are a big leveller. If we have enjoyed days like Kanpur we had to endure what happened in Bengaluru. We didn’t show any intention to bat out the remainder of the two and a half days,” Gambhir said in a pre-match conference.
