New music from Pearl Jam and Aurora were among our biggest headlines last week.

Pearl Jam have shared their latest Dark Matter single Running.

The band recorded their 12th studio record at Shangri-La Studios in Malibu with producer Andrew Watt, and are due to head out on tours of North America, the UK, Europe and Australasia this year.

It’ll all start with two nights at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver on May 4th and 6th.

St Vincent has announced a tour of North America which will follow spring outings around California and in Europe for the festival season.

There’s two blocks of headline gigs coming up, the first in August which will conclude at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles; the second in September which is set to take in two New York nights at Brooklyn Paramount.

Meanwhile Flea, the latest offering from the seventh studio album All Born Screaming, is out now ahead of its release on April 26th.

Vampire Weekend have added a UK and Ireland tour to the live plans for their upcoming new album.

Before now, those plans had been focused exclusively on North America save for an appearance at Primavera Sound in May, but UK and Ireland shows have been added for the end of the year and will start at 3Arena in Dublin on November 29th.

Also booked are appearances in Manchester, London, Wolverhampton, Glasgow and London, while two shows on mainland Europe are to come at Paris’ Adidas Arena and AFAS Live in Amsterdam.

Aurora will release her new album What Happened To The Heart? on June 7th.

It’s been described as her, ‘most personal and cathartic album’, to-date by the singer, who adds:

“Though its precise function and anatomy were not clearly understood, the heart was believed to be the centre of the soul. Of intuition. Of emotion and intention. Until we decided these were qualifications of the mind.”

Maximo Park have released their brand new single Favourite Songs.

It’s yet another signature slice of catchy art-pop from one of the 2000s’ greatest survivors, and Paul Smith has said:

“Our aim was to create a peppy yet powerful ode to the consolation of music and companionship in the face of other people’s preconceptions.”

Suede will play an outdoor concert Audley End in Essex on August 1st.

Johnny Marr and Nadine Shah have also been confirmed on the bill for that day, now part of the Heritage Live series which has already confirmed Madness, The Lightning Seeds, Richard Ashcroft, Ocean Colour Scene, Tom Meighan and Elbow for the summer.

“It’s been an ambition of us all at Heritage Live to stage a show for the legendary Suede,” promoter Giles Cooper said.
