Winning Fighter Admits Defeat Loser Asks Trump For Help
What the hell happened between Serhiy Sidey and Garrett Armfield on Saturday night at UFC Edmonton?

Serhiy Sidey may have won on the scorecards earlier tonight (Sat., Nov. 2, 2024) at UFC Edmonton live on ESPN+ from inside Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, but the bantamweight prospect believes he actually lost his fight against Garrett Armfield.

Sidey was coming off a split-decision loss to Ramon Tavares in his Octagon debut back in January and competing in front of his home country of Canada on Saturday night. It was a big opportunity for the talented striker to prove he belongs in the premier MMA organization in the world. Unfortunately, things didn’t go exactly as planned for Sidey.

While the Canadian prospect lasted all three rounds and had some good moments in the fight, Armfield seemed to do a little more damage and had more control with his grappling. Most thought Armfield was going to walk away with the unanimous decision win, but once the scores were being read and it was panning out to be a split decision fight fans knew something was up.

Sidey was awarded the win to much disgust from Armfield. The Canadian crowd was certainly excited to see their fighter get the nod, but Sidey was not happy with his performance after the fight. In fact, the bantamweight fighter admitted that he thought he should have lost. Check it out below:

“Personally, I thought I lost. I’ll be honest,” said Sidey.

As for Armfield, who has now dropped two in a row inside the Octagon, he took to social media to show his disapproval and even suggested some home cooking. Armfield also reached out to former President of the United States, Donald Trump, and UFC CEO, Dana White, for help with his split-decision loss. See below:
